Our 15th Wedding Anniversary

To my wife, on 15 years of marriage.
15 years.
In 15 years, a child will go from taking his or her first steps to receiving their driver's license.
It takes 15 years for the typical student to go from Jr. High School graduate to Ph.D. graduate.
In 15 years, the internet has gone from a collaboration tool for scientists to the most important cultural influence of the current day.
In 15 years, it will be 2023, and scientists project that computers equivalent to the human brain will sell for $1000.
In 15 years, I still plan to have a long and happy married life ahead of me.

Thank you, my wife, for sticking with me for the long haul.
In 15 years, we have built a family with three beautiful children. Thank you for bearing them, birthing them, nursing them, and teaching them. The challenges and suffering you faced as a consequence make me love you and respect you ever the more.

In 15 years, God has become ever more greatly the center of our lives. We realize now just how much further we have to go. (Actually, I am sure we still underestimate it!) Thank you for bringing me to the faith, and for helping me when I fall and guiding me when I do not see the path.

In 15 years, we have faced the trials that every marriage faces. Thank you for never wavering.

In 15 years we have lived in 3 countries and 3 states in this one. Thank you for making every place a home.

In 15 years we have traveled throught the US and to 9 other countries. Thank you for going on this adventure with me.

In 15 years, we have known hardship and want, and we have known plenty. Thank you for making even those times of hardship days that I would never do without.

In 15 years, I have progressed through 5 careers, and you have had 7 (and started 3 business to boot!). Thank you for making sure we always put our family first.

For 15 years, you have meant everything to me. This marriage is my true vocation. I look forward to the next 15 years. And the 15 after that. And the 15 after that. And the eternity to come.

I love you, my wife.
God Bless You
