The Little Way - On the Rink

I took my 6 year old son to an ice skating birthday party this weekend. I chose to skate with him, and I was so happy. I was a part of his day in a way that I never would have been had I sat and watched. The highlight was when he cast aside the "walker" and decided to skate on his own. It took encouragement from me, and if I hadn't been on the ice, showing him that daddy could learn as well, he may not have taken the leap. We often don't realize how big an impact little things like that can make.
