Vatican Under Attack

The Vatican is one of many nations opposed to a UN resolution on gay rights. In fact, if you read the details, only a handful of nations support it. The resolution is headlined by a number of "no-brainers" (e.g. Don't execute people for being homosexual). Why would the Vatican and other Western countries oppose it? The answer lies buried in the article. The resolution is essentially a Trojan Horse with a goal of imposing gay marriage globally. That is the only portion of the resolution that would have any effect. Countries without gay marriage could be sanctioned by the UN. So why is the Vatican the target of protests? The goal is to marginalize and ostracize the Church by making it appear to support the persecution of homosexuals. The culture wars continue to get more and more insidious.
